A bit about myself….

I, Frank Okun, am an experienced SEO with lots of sales and marketing experience in traditional and internet advertising. My wife and I owned two full-line retail musical instrument stores in South Florida from 1987 to 1996. The “big boys” moved in, and we just couldn’t survive in the fierce market.

My wife went back into accounting, and I joined the “big guys” for a while (if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em, right?). Ijust didn’t feel right in the corporate music world. So I ended up selling display ads for a well-known “shopper” in South Florida.

After three years of that, I decided to learn the direct mail ad magazine business, and tried it on my own. Broke even, but just didn’t have the money to keep it going.

In between, and sometimes at the same time, I performed on cruise ships, playing guitar and singing. In 2004, when my contract ended, I decided to stick to land and have been involved with the web ever since.

So now, I help bring traffic to clients’ websites.  Although I’ve an independent contractor for Searchwiz Marketing, a dvision of Webcast1, Inc., I use my website as a marketing tool – sort of like a guinea pig for seeing what works and what doesn’t as far as internet marketing goes.
